Having a genuinely new product to introduce is exciting. But when that new product also introduces a new technology, excitement quickly turns to, “Okay, how are we going to pull this off?” Ohio Lottery’s new “Game of Gold” utilized AR (augmented reality) tech to bring animation and sound to what typically were static game tickets. Showing customers how the game worked was essential. To get the viewers to seamlessly to the production demonstration, I crafted a story that tied directly into the function of the game (gathering gold coins) tand put a fresh twist on the age-old princess-in-the-tower trope. The result was Ohio Lottery’s best selling game of the last 10 years.
